- Grade 12 pass (NQF Level 4)
- Computer Literacy
- Must be fluent in English
- Currently unemployed or not employed on a full-time basis
- South African Citizen

Experienced professionals — Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) pathway:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in the respective field
- Assessed against the qualification outcomes through a portfolio of evidence — no full learnership required
- Typically completed in up to 4 months, including closing any knowledge gaps
